Dates of interest: August 12th: Hot Dogs for Homes The Canandaigua Wegmans is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity to help us raise funds for our newest build. On Thursday, August 12th, Wegmans will be selling hot dogs from 11am to 5pm to help support the latest build at 30 Hawkins Avenue in Geneva. For $3, you can get a hot dog, chips, and a soda on the covered patio. Then you can stay to watch the car cruise from 5-8pm. August 14th through the 21st: The dates have been set for HFHOC's 2010 Blitz Build. This is a week long, Saturday through Saturday event (excluding Sunday). Volunteers will raise and enclose the house being built on Hawkins Avenue in Geneva. Geneva Blitz Week runs from August 14nd through the 21th, excluding Sunday the 15th. Construction begins at 8am and runs until approximately 4 or 5pm, weather and conditions permitting. During blitz week lunch will be provided for volunteers. Please contact HFHOC for details and volunteer opportunities. August 24th and September 28th: Join us for our monthly Habitat for Humanity Meeting. Meetings are open to the public and take place on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings begin at 7pm and last between one and two hours. The meetings currently take place at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 320 South Pearl Street in Canandaigua.
